Please describe the work you do at Click.
I think the most important thing is to think about things in a big picture approach. First, I try to get to know my clients as well as possible. Then I like to connect them to the services they need. When you bring a strategic communications approach and think about how everything fits together, such as what messages clients are using or should be using, what influences they may have and how they’re being represented, then you can really start to hone in on helping them take care of what they need. I really like helping in that capacity.
How did you get started in the media and advertising world?
I started working in broadcast television as a junior in high school. As a senior, I was directing the weekend news for the local CBS affiliate because I guess I showed an aptitude for it right away. I developed a bug for it and that bug has been there ever since. There aren’t many people who can say they’ve been working in the industry for that long. I’m so grateful.
Family life?
I have a very close-knit family. We have “Sunday Supper” together regularly, which mandates all of us putting our phones away. We challenge each other to not say no or back away from anything. In our household, I always tell my kids, there’s never, “I can’t.”
You can do anything you want is our family credo.
What makes you passionate about the work you do?
I’m invested in our partners and clients, and dedicated to helping them get what they want done. I want them to be confident and to know they have received good advice and good service and good results from working with us. I’m their advocate in every meeting I’m in on their behalf, making sure their point of view is heard and understood.
What makes Click a little different than other marketing agencies?
I think Click offers a different way of thinking. The agency world is like any other multimedia facet and has to change rapidly. We’re willing and able to fulfill needs on an on-demand basis using our huge network of subject matter experts who are incredibly knowledgeable and who want our clients to succeed.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to clients when it comes to writing and brand strategy?
If you own a business, are in sales or you are trying to market a product or service, make sure you understand your needs are unique and special to you. Don’t be afraid to ask for a solution that meets exactly what you want. There isn’t a cookie cutter solution anymore for media solutions. It’s customized and you have the ability and power to create the agency relationship you want.
We are a team. There’s not one person here that’s going to do something halfway. We all do 110 percent and do the best we can. Everyone is all in. It’s what we do.
